As of the census of 2020, there were 1909 people residing in the township. The population density was 84.11 people per square mile (33.7/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 94.8% White, 0.6% African American, 0% Native American, 0% Asian, 0.8% from other races, and 2.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.7% of the population.

There were 867 households out of which 51.6% were married couples living together. Single female householders comprised 7.5% of households, and 6.3% had a single male householder. Non-families represented 9.2% of households, and 25.4% of all households were made up of one person.

The median income for a household in the township was $49,732.
